SALON POLICIES + OTHER THINGS TO KNOW

HEALTH + SAFETY MEASURES

  • To maintain social distancing we have reduced the number of stations so they are more than 6 feet apart.

  • We are staggering shifts and lengthening appointments to reduce the number of people in the salon at any one time.

  • We will not have a waiting area and cannot allow guests to enter the salon early or accompanied by a guest.

  • There will no longer be magazines or beverage service to reduce the possibility of cross contamination. You are welcome to bring your own beverage and keep it with you at the chair.

  • Every member of our team will be wearing a mask while in the salon.

  • Your stylist is required to wear state mandated PPE while providing services. This will be hot and harder to breathe in. Please be sensitive that your stylist may not always be able to chat as much as they’d like to.

  • Shampoo bowls will be separated by a glass shield.

  • We will continue to abide by and maintain the sanitation procedures for all areas of the salon. This includes a thorough sanitation of each station and the equipment used between each service.

  • Each team member will have a daily temperature and health check. Any stylist showing signs of COVID-19 symptoms will not be allowed to work.

  • There will be a contactless check out procedure. We will call you for your credit card information prior to your appointment and charge the card provided after your appointment from our secure POS system. Our POS stores your card information but we cannot see it on our screens. Gratuity can be done through Venmo.

  • Until further notice we will not be able to offer beard trims as you cannot wear a mask during this service.

  • Our cancelation policy of 24 hours notice remains in place. However, if you need to cancel your appointment because you or someone you have been in close contact with is not feeling well and showing symptoms of COVID-19, we will be happy to reschedule your appointment and waive the full cancelation fee.

CHANGES TO SALSON SERVICES DUE TO COVID-19

  • We are offering 3 different types of haircuts now - a Dry Haircut, Shampoo Haircut, and Transformation Haircut. (Barber cuts remain the same.)

    • “Dry Cut” - We ask you to please come to your haircut appointment with clean, dry hair. Your hair will be cut dry and your stylist will lightly finish the style after. We are offering this haircut to reduce your time in salon by not blowdrying and to limit the person to person contact by not having an apprentice shampoo you.

    • “Shampoo Cut” - If you would like to be shampooed, please book this cut so we can book the necessary additional time. You will be shampooed, cut and then given an express blow dry with minimal brush styling. If you would like a Full Finish blow dry, please book this as an additional service.

    • “Transformation Cut” - The Transformation Cut is perfect for those who are looking for a complete style change. Going from long layers to a shag or a bob? Looking to try on a pixie cut? Then select the transformation cut to ensure you have enough time with your stylist to get your new look perfected for you.

  • Express, complimentary post color blow dries are no longer being offered by the salon to help offset New York State’s 50% capacity regulation and to limit the amount of blow drying done in salon. However, you will have three choices for post color finishing. (If you are getting a haircut after your color, you will automatically be given a complimentary express blow dry with minimal brush styling.)

    • “Skip” the Blow Dry - You may choose to completely skip the blow dry altogether and leave with towel dried hair. If your stylist braids hair, you may also choose to have a simple wet braid. The colorist may choose to blow dry a small section in the front to check your color.

    • "Quick Dry" - This is an express dry just to get the moisture out of the hair with minimal styling. The cost for this service is $50.

    • "Full Finish Dry" - This is a fully finished blow dry styling at your stylist's regular blow dry price point, $70 - $110.

  • You must book a blow dry service if you do not want to leave the salon towel dried. If you do not, we will assume you are opting to “Skip” the blow dry.

  • If a colorist needs to use extra color (more color than the average amount traditionally used for that particular color technique) the cost of the extra color will be passed on to you. Please be assured that we are not profiteering from these extra charges. We simply can no longer absorb the additional costs that go above and beyond the normal usage amounts during these pandemic affected times. We thank you for your understanding in advance.
